Ethiopia Natural Guji
$19.99Rich, fruit-forward, and beautifully distinctive.
We are loving this coffee. Giving this one 5 stars for weekend sipping and especially chemex & pourover.
Grown in Guji, in Ethiopia’s Oromia Region, this coffee comes from an area now recognized for producing some of the country’s most exciting natural coffees. Guji lots were once commonly grouped under the broader Sidamo name, but their distinctive cup quality and character have increasingly earned them an identity of their own.
At elevations of 1,700 to 1,900 meters, the coffee develops slowly, building sweetness and complexity. The cherries are naturally processed and dried whole on raised beds, a method that helps intensify the fruit character and create the expressive profile Guji coffees are known for.
In the cup, this one leans rich and concentrated, with notes of dark chocolate, black cherry, and raisin. The dried-fruit sweetness gives it a lush quality, while the chocolate adds depth and balance. With a medium body and plenty of personality, it’s a coffee that feels both adventurous and deeply satisfying.
This lot includes Ethiopian heirloom selections along with 74-110 and 74-112 varietals, adding to its classic East African pedigree.
Perfect for: The coffee snob and coffee adventurers.
Coffee drinkers who enjoy naturally processed coffees, deep fruit sweetness, and a cup with a little more character than the everyday.
