Location: MoonBeans Fine Roasted Coffees in Downtown Aiken
Job Description:
As a Coffee Roaster at MoonBeans, you will be responsible for roasting coffee beans to highlight their best qualities. You will manage the roasting process from start to finish, ensuring consistency and quality. Your expertise will contribute directly to the taste and aromatics that define our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain coffee roasting equipment with precision and care.
- Monitor roast profiles and adjust as needed to achieve desired flavor.
- Conduct quality control through sensory evaluation of roasted coffee.
- Record roasting data and maintain accurate logs.
- Manage inventory of green coffee beans and roasting supplies.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new roast blends and improve existing ones.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Coffee Roaster or experience in the industry.
- Strong understanding of coffee roasting techniques and flavor profiles.
- Ability to operate roasting machinery safely and efficiently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good physical stamina to handle roasting responsibilities.
- Passion for coffee and eagerness to learn and innovate.
